We live in a democracy ..in a time when we are aware
of our interconnected nature..We know both the beauty and poetry of our earth and also the natural economy that arises from
a skillful relationship with she who supports and
cradles the lives of our children.



We know the healing powers of the rivers, lakes...the wisdom of trees , the air we breath...and the great stones that hold the histories of our lands and lives and the way of our grandfathers.

We know that when you blast away without sacred intent..you not only
break the earth bond below your feet but you effect the land valleys miles away,....you impact the entire earth..

We know the massive kill off of our natural inhabitants...we know that the owls begin to cry..as if anticipating the coming carnage...and the fish creatures ..ponds away are blown out of our precious waters..We know , because we are connected and we remember, that well beyond any science...the water tables are altered...our homes ,..lives
and futures are impacted beyond repair.

And because we live and breath here we know the lay and way of
this land...we know the sacredness of Browns lake sanctuary..the estuaries
and ponds and how the great stone-crystaline beds hold our hearts and
minds and families in some unseen balance...

We have walked..hiked..played and layed..dance and swam...we have retreated and healed and in this very special valley we have remembered ourselves...

WE KNOW

There is a 25 year old and outdated plan..already well underway to
to clear cut , expropriate...and lay a four lane highway right through this
sacred belt...This plan is outdated and does not in any any way account for our current awareness in a more sensitive design that includes some democratic...and nature based consciousness. It is being build in complete
disregard to both the earth and the inhabitants of this valley. It is well a facist
pre-meditated slaughter of what we have come to know as home..


It will impact every aspect of our lives here including
'economy',..tourism...our recreation,..a fluid interrelationship
with nature not to mention the earth itself.. It is the home of
millions of creatures and the ancient grandfather trees
that remind us of our histories...and invite skillful and
heartfelt relationship with our natural world..

“ When I first arrived in this valley of Wakefield..I immediately
gravitated to the Browns lake area...I spent hours lying by this healing lake..
enjoying the absolute pleasure and healing that arises in such beautiful and eloquent and magical spaces...I walked and wandered through this area and I knew immediately why so many were attracted to hike and ski and walk and wander and retreat here..This valley is the heart center of our area, of our lands and families...

I come from a lineage of Druid
Priests..We are priests of the land,..adept in sourcing sacred healing spaces
magical earth places that invite solitude..and heartful communion
with the source of our livelihood,..spaces that hold the history of our lands..
These places are very rare and like earthen libraries...Just as in our culture it is often the most sensitive, ...most vulnerable child that is wounded, so to this area happens to be the 'Sacred ground' of our valley...this valley represents the most innocent soul within each of you..And that is why we are here..Beyond our personal benefit ..we are here because we feel..because we live here and know her well...we will not stand for such heartless..unconscious..non-cooperative raping

STOP
As a democracy,..as the constituency ..that actually lives and breaths here,..
and as the stewards of this land we are demanding an immediate
STOP ACTION... to this non-collaborative..intrusive and abusive project.
The project is not only out dated..but, as already proven, is in complete disregard for this sacred land and the beings who live here..who
make there livelihoods here.


'STOP',...is a reasonable and wise action at this time because ...we already know from countless other forced and unaccountable projects the devastating impact they can have,..
irrepairable impact..it can have on our natural resources and livelihoods..
and the constitution of our communities. What is it to take refuge for a couple of years to reconsider rethink...than to act with such wanton disregard for our natural resources,..communities and local economies...we need to
